Project Description:
Applied Sciences Group provided the engineering support service required to program a Texas Instruments 545 PLC and developed the Xycom Terminal Operator Interface Unit screens associated with a furnace control package. The furnace was utilized to produce ceramic components for the electronics industry.

The scope of work, furnace automation; sequence of operation, temperature control and operator interface were defined by documentation provided by the end-customer and all integration, installation and debug effort was performed at the manufacturing facility. This project was designed in such a manner as to simulate existing logic structures and user interface capabilities previously developed by the manufacturer.
