Applied Sciences Group Continues to Grow Its Business in 2011

Buffalo, NY December 23, 2011: 2011 was a record year of growth and revenues for Applied Sciences Group thanks to multiple contract awards with large local manufacturers and the Department of Veteran Affairs.  Smaller engineering firms working in technology and innovation like Applied Sciences Group are an important indicator that the economy is rebounding.  Based on initial 2011 projections, ASG planned on hiring 4 software engineers in 2011, but as the business gained momentum in the 2nd quarter that plan was modified and a total of 6 full-time engineering staff were hired. 

ASG’s clients often outsource their engineering needs when they don’t have operational assurances that they can afford to hire additional full time staff.  “We may have been in a recession, but there was still work to be done, and hiring ASG allows businesses to advance their operations despite their fiscal constraints, “said Paul Buckley, President of Applied Sciences Group. 

The Company’s 2012 growth strategy is to continue expanding into the electronic medical device software and factory automation markets in the Northeast and Midwest.  ASG has also recently joined the Independent Oil and Gas Association of New York to provide their engineering expertise to improving hydraulic fracturing waste water management.
